Auto Transport Etc

We are very disappointed in the professionalism and lack of communication from this company.  We were shipping a golf cart from FL to MD the week of Thanksgiving, and were told it would be picked up on that Monday morning and delivered by that Wednesday morning, which was important because we had a neighbor meeting the truck in MD since we were gone for the holiday.  When they didn't show Monday morning, and after several attempts to contact Auto Transport Etc. with no return calls, we finally got in touch with the actual shipper and after several more delays it was finally picked up at 7pm Tuesday night, but still guaranteed by 5pm the next day.  When 5pm rolled around we called again with no return call and talked to the actual shipper and they said it would be 10pm, when 10pm came we talked to the shipper and it was 1am, on Thanksgiving morning.

To make matters worse, when the shipper arrived the golf cart was on an open carrier, when Auto Transport Etc. guaranteed and stated it had to be in a closed truck because it was under 48" wide, so of course when it got to us from being on the back of the carrier it was covered in dirt and salt and the cloth was ruined because of the wind and weather.

When I contacted Auto Transport Etc., they passed all blame onto the transport company they brokered out, even though they are the ones who hired them, and said they would not refund any of their fees.  I HIGHLY recommend that you do not waste your time with this company, they broker your shipping needs out and do not "protect" you at all when things go wrong, it is not worth their inflated broker fee.  Please contact me for any further feedback.
